Boys and girls, ages 6 to 18 have an opportunity to come out and be active and have fun! Summer time is a time for fun and games so what better to do then play volleyball! Volleyball builds leadership and teamwork skills, which are not only necessary in volleyball, but also in life.
This year will be the ninth consecutive year that Pakmen Volleyball will host summer camps. Pakmen is one of the most diverse volleyball clubs in Canada, and have also been accredited by the OVA (Ontario Volleyball Association) and Volleyball Canada as of January 31st 2014 (the only volleyball club in the GTA to receive this status).
During the summer break, kids have a lot of free time. Often kids stay home to play video games, hang with friends and do not get enough physical activity or challenge. Pakmen makes use of their time and supports them to be more active with fun and games. Volleyball is a cost effective way to keep your kids happy, active and occupied. It’s also a great place to make friends that share the same interests as you.
Everyday at summer camp is full of a variety of things to do above and beyond volleyball. Each morning kids start with a warm up game; for example, octopus or tag. In addition, coaches split children into groups by skill level, do drills and play some games. Those participants, who choose to stay for the full day, spend the rest of the time playing dodge ball, hockey, soccer, doing drama skits, watching videos and playing other fun games. But of course, the day always ends with some indoor volleyball; it is volleyball camp after all! Each year Pakmen coaches make a summer camp video that highlights the best parts of camp. Check it out on Pakmen’s YouTube channel.
You can expect nothing less than the best from Pakmen. Their well designed, quality programs have your kids leaving camp with a big smile. The children will be supervised by truly brilliant coaches. Participants treasure their coaches because of their volleyball skills, excellent teaching and great motivation. Coaches are NCCP certified and are university and college -volleyball players.
