Halloween events entertain Mississauga families all October! All month kids can look forward to fun, yet frightening family events. We have found lots of local Halloween themed parties, festivals, games and more to help make this year scary, fun and memorable for all.

Mississauga Halloween Kids ActivitiesTrick or Treating is something that kids wait for all year. Even though this year’s Halloween falls on a Monday, there are still plenty of events for the entire family to participate in. Try one of these fun Halloween recipes to add to the celebrations.

PumpkinFest  Saturday September 24 – Monday October 31

Join Downeys Farm from 10 am – 5 pm for tons of fun, and thousands of pumpkins! Families will enjoy unlimited wagon rides, a corn maze, Boo Barn, farm animals, live entertainment, pony rides, puppets, magic and more!  Cost on weekdays is $9.00 per person (ages 2-92) and $14.00 per person on Weekends & Holidays.

Harvest Festival – All weekends in October up until October 30

Haunted Mississauga –  Friday October 14

The event features guided walks around the cemetery with tours lasting for approximately 50 minutes. Visit the event website (link is above) closer to the date for more information on tour times.

Space is limited! Tickets are reasonably priced: $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for seniors and youth under 13 years old. Hot refreshments are also provided.

Halloween Party – Friday October 28

Alpha’s Discovery Club is hosting its 10th annual Halloween Party! Children are invited to wear their costumes (please ensure safety for playing) and enjoy some Halloween fun. Children will meet Minnie Mouse, enjoy spooky decorations, make a Halloween craft and enjoy exclusive use of the playground facility. Treat bags are included for children to take home! Parents are welcome to dress-up and join the fun too!  Admission is $15 per child.

Spooktacular – Saturday October 29

Join the Streetsville BIA as they host their annual Halloween celebration from 2 – 4 pm at The Vic Johnston Community Centre. There will be crafts, games, story time and more, plus free lootbags for the first 300 kids. Guests are asked to bring a donation for the food bank.

Halloween Monster MashSaturday October 29

Lace up your skates, throw on your costume and head to Celebration Scare for a Monster Roller Jam on the rink. Get down to the beastly beats of DJ FLOz spinning live tunes. Trick-or-Treat around the Square, or if you dare explore the Spooktacular Maze. The little ones can check out the Little Critter Club with balloon shows, face painting, spooky story time, and giant play blocks.

Visit Clarkson Village from 10 am – 2 pm in your favourite costume and go door to door to all the merchants collecting goodies. Families will also enjoy live entertainment, roaming entertainers, refreshments and bouncy castles.

Come in costume for a fun tree planting event! Come to David Ramsey Outdoor Pool from 10am to 12:30pm to take part.

SHORA’s Annual Pumpkin Parade – Tuesday November 1Happy Halloween

Their pumpkin parade is on a Tuesday this year, so drop off will work a little differently.  If you could kindly avoid using St. Francis of Assisi school’s parking lot during school hours, it would be greatly appreciated. There are pathway entrances to the park off of Homelands Drive, Thornlodge Drive and Winthrop Cres.  Please place your jack-o’-lanterns in the Peace Garden (located behind St. Francis of Assisi school) along with the others to create a wonderful display.  Please drop off jack-o’-lanterns between noon and 7 pm.  They will do their best to have wheelbarrows available at the park entrance off of Thornlodge Drive to help with set up. More info:

Zombie Apocalypse – Friday November 4

It’s the Halloween archery event that you’ve been waiting for! On Friday November 4th, from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, come in and prove that your archery skills can keep the undead hordes at bay and protect a group of survivors. Your people are counting on you! Sign up on the bulletin board across from reception. You’ll need a team of 3 people, $60 team entrance fee, and for a bonus, bring some non-perishable food items for the Mississauga Food Bank.
