The summer is coming to an end, but there´s no reason for you to worry. As you plan back to school extracurricular activities for your kids, Mississauga’s Pakmen Volleyball Club is already preparing its fall indoor programs. These programs are the perfect opportunity for kids to develop important life skills such as teamwork, discipline and goal setting, while at the same time keeping fit and healthy.
Don´t be a part of the statistic, leave the video games and the junk food behind. According to Statistics Canada, 29% of adolescents in 2007 were overweight. Pakmen provides an active and healthy lifestyle, in a fun environment for all, so that they can avoid developing habits that will bite them in the backside by the time they enter their 30´s. We all know that it is more effective to maintain a healthy weight doing something that we enjoy and love, rather that being forced to do alienated activities in an attempt to lose weight or stay healthy.
Pakmen’s Mississauga volleyball club, the largest and most diverse in all of Canada, designs, develops and expands its programs in order to include and engage youth in volleyball. Each program is created to accommodate players of all ages and ability levels. Pakmen Volleyball club is totally dedicated to youth volleyball, even in the youngest age groups. All programs are supervised by outstanding coaches, who are university and college players, as well as certified by the NCCP. They are the heart of Pakmen’s success, motivating kids to develop their skills as volleyball players, but also promoting and developing their character.
Parents will find a cost effective way to keep their kids active and occupied and kids will have a learning opportunity and a way to have fun while making new friends. Are you ready to productively spend your free time? Here are the fall solutions:
A one hour learn to play volleyball program for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 years. Spikes is focused on providing a supportive, non-competitive environment, where learning volleyball skills is a whole lot of fun! This program is the best choice for young athletes looking to try a new sport! No previous experience is required! The program is ten weeks long and everyone plays equally. Every participant will receive a Spikes t-shirt.
A volleyball training program suitable for beginner to intermediate players. It is designed to improve volleyball technique for those who prefer to work in small groups. The program is for boys and girls in grades 6 to 12. The program’s goal is to take a player and bring them to the next level by providing a copious amount of instruction through low player to coach ratios and high level of repetition of the fundamentals. This volleyball training program is limited to four players per coach and each session is an hour. Every player will receive a t-shirt.
Pakmen is pleased to offer private lessons conducted by our most senior rep coaches. Lessons are 1 on 1 (you can bring a friend for no extra charge if you wish) and are 1 hour in length. After the warm up, we normally work on serving, passing and volleying for 20 minutes. For the remaining 40 minutes, we can either work on what we think needs to be worked on for your child or whatever you would like us to work on eg. Footwork for middle players, setting for setters, etc.
With Pakmen there is no off season!
